I didn’t actually know when you started as a freelancer, but I’m glad that you’ve learned some things from me. I think that’s what Web 2.0 is about – we all learn from each other. I know that I’ve learned from you too.

Congrats on the book, though I am curious–many freelance e-book authors are afraid to tackle the tax issues because they don’t want to be liable for giving out tax advice…how far do you go in your book on the tax front? Anything you can share I(in a general way) as a sneak preview or an enticement to buy?

  12. Laura Spencer says:

    Thanks Joe!

Well, I’d love to have you buy the book although I don’t give specific tax advice either.

Any tax advice in the book is general, although that general information is news to many freelancers since some of them don’t have any type of accounting background.

Still, I hope that you do decide to buy.

  13. Linda says:

If offers a discount code entry. Where can I get a discount code?

  14. Laura Spencer says:

    Hi Linda,

I’m checking with the publisher right now to see if there is an active discount.

I just bought and read your book. Very informative. I am confused about one issue. I am hoping you could offer some clarity. I am in the process of starting my own freelance writing business, focusing on writing business commucation for B2B and B2C, writing.
I also plan on to continue to write articles and books not related to my business. My questions is: Do I run this a seperate entitity or can I run everything through one business?

    I hope this makes sense.

    Thank you.

  18. Hi Samantha,

I’m glad you enjoyed the book. :)

It’s really up to you how you organize your business structure. You may want to consider the amount of time you plan to devote to each kind of writing…
