Blogger Opportunities …
Do you blog?
I know that a lot of WritingThoughts readers do, so I thought I’d share three great opportunities for bloggers.
Paid Blogging Opportunity at Know More Media
There are several paid blogging opportunities with the same blogging network that I blog for, Know More Media. You can read all about the opportunity on the Business Blogwire.
I really enjoy blogging at Work From Home Momma, so I can personally attest that this is a great group to work for.
Blog Design Giveaways
David Airey, a logo designer, is giving away over two dozen (if I counted right) prizes to celebrate the first anniversary of his graphic design blog. All the prizes are fantastic, but I noticed that the prizes include a website critique by my blogging friend Randa Clay, $60 dollars worth of books selected by Problogger, an hour of private telephone consulting from Tammy Lenski, and a four-hour business growth telephone consultation from Rebecca Caroe. My own mentor, Gayla McCord of Mom Gadget even got in on the spirit by donating $25 via PayPal.
Business Startup Contest
This one isn’t strictly limited to bloggers, but a lot of the prize package could certainly be used by a blogger. b5 Media is conducting a contest for home businesses that are less than a year old. You’ll be required to write a short business plan and otherwise adhere to their rules, but various prizes total over $2000! If you’re new to working at home, or thinking of working at home you won’t want to miss this one.
Good luck!

Thanks, Laura, for mentioning the Jump Start Your Business contest at the b5media Business Channel. I hope this will encourage some of your readers to get started with their business and business plan.

Hi David! Thank YOU for having such a spectacular contest.
Hi Mary Emma — I really do hope that some of my readers enter the contest. I’m ineligible because I’ve been in business too long, but I can really see how this could help someone who is just getting started.

Thanks for the mention, Laura. You’re doing great things over at WorkFromHomeMomma and I’m proud of you and the other great writers we’ve got at Know More Media.
David knows what he’s doing with that contest - it’s generating a lot of buzz and I hope a lot of people participate. Same goes for the b5 shin-dig - they’re a bunch of smart folks with a fine network!

Laura,
These three opportunities look great! Thanks for sharing them! Know More Media looks like a pretty good outfit!
Sorry I haven’t been commenting much lately. I’ve been s-o-o-o-o busy! In fact, I’m taking time now that I should really be using to get some important projects finished! Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines! You know how they can be!
Just wanted you to know that I’m still reading–though, at times, that amounts to speedreading!

Thanks Easton! I appreciate your vote of confidence.
Hi Jeanne! I’m glad that you’re still reading. I understand about being busy.
Hi Rebecca! It will be interesting to see the results. I do hope someone who reads one of my blogs wins. That would be really neat!
