If you love writing as much as I do, you’ll probably agree that writing is not just a job–it’s something that you actually enjoy doing.
In fact, not only do I love writing, I love words and everything about them. That’s one reason why I enjoy the sites that I’m about to share in this post.
Have Some Fun with Words
Check out the following sites to have some fun with words:
- Writer’s Digest Writing Prompts–This is another site designed to stimulate your storytelling creativity. Choose from any one of the creative writing “assignments,” but try to keep your story under 750 words.
- Storybird–Did you ever want to write a picture book? If you’ve ever thought about it for even a moment, this site is for you. Use the gorgeous artwork on the site to illustrate your own story, or just read the stories that others have created.
- Free Rice–I know I’ve written about Free Rice before, but I just can’t help myself. This is probably my favorite online writing distraction and it has the added bonus of providing food for the hungry.
This post has been a little bit different from my usual posts here on WritingThoughts. It’s not writing advice (or even advice about the business of writing), but I hope that you enjoyed it. Use the comments to share your own favorite “fun” writing sites.
